A Trousdale Estates mansion in Beverly Hills that was built in part with money stolen in the 1MDB scandal just sold for $27.4 million.
In the latest sale, Steven Gilfenbain bought the 13,000-square-foot mansion at 912 North Hillcrest Road, according to the Los Angeles Times. He is founder of the grape distribution company Stevco Inc. The home had hit the market last summer for $30 million.
The story of the property starts in 2007, when spec mansion developer Mohamed Hadid bought the property for one of his spec projects. He built an Egyptian-themed home pyramid included and sold it to now-infamous fugitive Jho Low.

Local investors paid $674,154 for 2.53 acres on West 1st Street in Gulf Shores, according to Lydia Franz of Re/Max of Orange Beach commercial division. The property is at the corner of Waterway Boulevard and West 1st Ave., just north of the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacent to the Country Hearth Inn.
Dollar Tree has leased a 16,170-square-foot building at 6400 Airport Blvd., in Mobile, according to SRS Real Estate Partners’ Birmingham office. The building at Airport Boulevard and Hillcrest Road is near the University of South Alabama. Martin Smith and Cooper Smith of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the landlord. Dollar Tree operates 15,115 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
