The trailer fire that caught fire Sunday night on Michael Avenue in Wolf Township seen here Monday morning. The Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 10:30 p.m. and found the trailer fully involved. Chief 2-24 arrived on scene to find the mobile home fully involved. Engine 24, Engine 1-24, Ambulance 24 and Utility 24 responded with 17 volunteers. Crews worked on scene for approximately 2.5 hours. HVFD was assisted by crews from Picture Rocks, Muncy Area, Pennsdale, Montgomery, and Montoursville Fire Departments, according to the Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department. HUGHESVILLE Two people are left homeless after a fire destroyed their rural rental property in the 1300 block of Barto Hollow Road in Penn Township Sunday evening.
Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Rusty Bitler said Monday that he did not have the identity of the individuals but said they were renting the house from another individual.
He said one of the occupants was home and the other was not.
He said there were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters.
He said a state police fire marshal was expected to investigate the site Monday.
Bitler said he did not believe the cause of the fire to be suspicious.

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is expanding its mobile meal bus service to more locations in Charles County. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 6, school buses will deliver meal bags to additional locations convenient for all students and their families. Buses will deliver mobile meals to the sites Monday through Friday.
Additional sites will be added as they are finalized. On days when CCPS calls an inclement weather code or delay, mobile meal service is canceled.
Mobile meal bags are free for all children ages 2 to 18 and include heat-and-serve food items, similar to items included in weekend meal bags handed out at CCPS curbside meal distribution sites. Curbside meal sites operate 7 to 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Details about the CCPS curbside meal sites are posted here.
