Area authorities made an arrest after a traffic stop on April 30.
A Higginsville Police officer executed a vehicle stop for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, the officer discovered the subject was on Missouri probation and parole for felony drug possession and felony delivery of a controlled substance.
Upon further investigation, the subject was found to be in possession of approximately 110 grams of suspected methamphetamine that field tested positive to be meth.
While speaking with the subject, he advised the officer that he had used his $1,400 government stimulus payment to help purchase the meth.
The subject was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Jail.
