The State of Minnesota has added Hy-Vee pharmacies to its growing COVID-19 vaccine pharmacy network, giving Minnesotans another place to get their shots.
Gov. Tim Walz on Monday announced Hy-Vee will administer more than 10,000 doses to Minnesotans who are 65 years and older this week at more than 30 Hy-Vees in the state.

Walz said in a statement. “Today we’re expanding our options for how Minnesotans can get vaccinated and while supply remains frustratingly limited, we will keep working relentlessly to build our provider network and get shots into arms of our most vulnerable populations.”

SPRINGFIELD State senators questioned public health officials regarding the state’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts in a Thursday hearing, one day after Gov. JB Pritzker announced that the state would expand vaccine eligibility under Phase 1B by Feb. 25.
Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike and Deputy Director Andrew Friend testified before the committee in a more than three-hour hearing, noting the state faces significant challenges in meeting vaccine demand with limited federal supply.
“Our greatest challenge is that we don’t have enough doses to satisfy all of the people that need it, want it, and that are eligible,” Ezike told the committee.
