All regions of the state had moved out of Tier 3 mitigations as of Friday as the COVID-19 health metrics continue to show improvement statewide. The three of the state’s 11 regions that have rolled back to Phase 4 mitigations are free to allow high school sports. Meanwhile, the entire state will move into Phase 1B of its vaccine distribution plan starting Monday.

On Thursday, Hy-Vee announced that they will begin offering COVID-19 rapid antibody testing at more than 250 Hy-Vee pharmacy locations. This antibody testing will be available starting on Monday, January 18. According to Hy-Vee officials, the rapid antibody test is available for patients who wish to learn if they have been previously infected with COVID-19 in the past and are not currently experiencing symptoms. After getting the test, patients will receive same day test results in as few as 15 minutes via email after completing the test.

Results of the test will be available the same day the test is done, usually takes about 15 minutes to get the results. The test uses a finger stick to collect a small blood sample, which is administered by a trained Hy-Vee Pharmacy team member.
