Your support of our work is inspiring and invaluable. It Took the Death of My Mentor for This Good Man to Realize ‘There Is No Tomorrow’ The events of the past two months have caused me to become more introspective about time and how I use it. There Is No Tomorrow If you’re anything like me, then you may have the occasional, or daily, habit of putting off what you should be accomplishing today. Halbert Sullivan s vision gave fathers credibility

Halbert Sullivan s vision gave fathers credibility Dominic Genetti, dominic.genetti@hearst.com FacebookTwitterEmail He was a big man with an even bigger drive to change the perception of fatherhood.   Halbert Sullivan, founder of the Fathers’ and Families Support Center, a nonprofit that sets out to improve a parent’s outlook and skills in the St. Louis region, died Thursday, April 15. Pandemic Has Huge Impact On Black Fathers, Support Center Founder Says

Just beyond the foyer, Sullivan points to the suite of classrooms where fathers learn to address relationship violence, improve their parenting skills, communicate better with their children’s mothers and much more. The agency moved last year into its $4.5 million, refurbished headquarters at 1601 Olive St, in downtown St. Louis. Behind a spiral staircase, affirming quotes are attached to the oval-shaped “Wall of Wisdom.” There, quotes like, “A family that prays together stays together,” complement Sullivan’s oratory about the agency’s evolution from the Father’s Support Center to its current incarnation.
