Biden’s executive orders
This is a response to the recent guest column that criticized Joe Biden for acting like a dictator by issuing 28 executive orders in his first 10 days. It’s not mentioned that, during Donald Trump’s one term, he issued 220 executive orders, far exceeding the number of executive orders Obama issued during any one of his two terms.
By the way, Trump criticized Obama for relying on executive orders in addition to the number of times he played golf. Biden’s executive orders were mostly reversing Trump’s objectionable policies.
The columnist focused on Biden’s executive order to halt the construction of the Keystone pipeline. The pipeline was originally halted under the Obama administration largely due to its climate change implications.
