A woman was killed in a head-on crash Friday night in Lancaster County, according to police.
A woman was killed after a two-vehicle crash on New Holland Pike on Friday night that Manheim Township police described as serious, according to Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni.
The crash occurred in the 2000 block of New Holland Pike, or Route 23, near Landis Valley Road at the Conestoga River between Manheim and East Lampeter townships, police said in a news release. Initial dispatch reports indicated that the crash occurred at around 8:45 p.m.
A female driver who appeared to be in her late 20s was killed in the crash, according to Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni. The woman s identity has not been released to the public.

A 29-year-old woman headed eastbound veered into the oncoming lane of traffic at around 8:18 p.m. in the 2100 block of New Holland Pike, or Route 23, near Landis Valley Road at the Conestoga River between Manheim and East Lampeter townships, police said in a news release.
The woman, whose identity has not been released to the public, struck another vehicle headed westbound head-on.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died, police said. Two occupants of the vehicle she struck were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Manheim Township police are seeking witnesses as they continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred Friday in the 2100 block of New Holland Pike.
Police said a 29-year-old Mount Joy woman veered into oncoming traffic and her car collided with another vehicle head-on at 8:18 p.m. near the intersection with Landis Valley Road. The Mount Joy woman died later in a hospital. The two occupants of the car she hit went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
