RESIDENTS of Harwich and Dovercourt have voiced their concerns after issues surrounding dog mess in the towns heightened. It comes after a mystery do-gooder helped highlight the issue by leaving small pink flags in mess left by irresponsible owners. Following a post on the Harwich Standard’s Facebook, here is what readers thought of the issue in the towns. Katarzyna Mac: “I went out of my flat the other day and nearly stepped into dog’s poo. These stinking bombs are probably on every pavement in Harwich.” Jennifer Joyce O Mahony: “I’ve never seen a town so full of dog mess! Yesterday I went up the high street and got my babies pram wheels covered in mess. My husband counted nine while walking down Waddesdon Road on the way to the station. You have to look down at the floor in this town when you walk, it’s absolute filth round here!”
