1 dead, three others shot at bar in NW Houston, officials say
HOUSTON – One person dead and at least three others were shot in a shooting Thursday night at a bar in northwest Houston, officials said.
The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. at Sammy Js Bar and Grill at 9717 North Houston Rosslyn Road, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office.
Houston police said a man and woman were transported to the hospital in critical condition but the man died at the hospital. Two other victims later arrived at the hospital by private vehicle.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is flooding the streets of Houston with deceptively marked police vehicles. These cars feature so-called “ghost decals” and can be extremely difficult to identify on the road.

TWO women who worked at a Texas sheriff s office were arrested and charged on Friday with allegedly helping a police deputy sexually abuse minors.
Dispatcher Christina McKay and deputy Chonda Shalett Williams were fired from the police department after Sergeant Robert Johnson alleged their involvement before killing himself.

Johnson took his own life several hours after having a standoff with deputies in an attempted traffic stop north Liberty County on Wednesday, according to KPRC-TV.
