THIS is what stunning new care apartments could look like if plans to demolish an old Stourbridge nightclub are approved. Cinnamon Care have submitted a proposal to build the 34 ‘extra care’ flats in place of the Arena nightclub on Hagley Road, as part of a wider £20 million retirement village proposal for the area. Last month, the company announced it had purchased the property for an undisclosed fee with the intention of building the apartments, intended for the over 55s in need of specialist care. Work is currently ongoing on the site adjacent to the nightclub for Cinnamon Care’s new Parkfield Grange Home, which is due to open in May.
