Massive mountaintop fire started at Camp Tuckahoe, according to forest official Jasmine Vaughn-Hall and Ted Czech, York Daily Record
A mountaintop forest fire that began Sunday afternoon at Camp Tuckahoe in the Dillsburg, York County area destroying nearly 150 acres is under investigation, according to a Michaux State forest official.
District Forester Roy Brubaker at the Michaux State Forest said the initial call came in at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. About 12 hours later, most of the fire units had cleared, with forestry trucks remaining to monitor the area for any flare-ups, according to York County 911. © Harrison Jones, For The York Daily Record
