HOBBS, N.M. Hobbs High School will offer COVID-19 Vaccines for students 16 years or older with the help of Nor Lea.
Students will be placed into groups of 50 in Tasker Arena on April 19-20.
Parents or legal guardians must sign up at the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KC796Z6 if they would like the vaccination for their child.
The deadline will be at 12:00 p.m. on April 16 to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine.

William D. “Will” Hawkins, one of four finalists for the position of Silver Schools superintendent, is a dynamic communicator whose 23-year career began with classroom teaching of English and history, which led to serving as a principal and eventually a transition to administrative posts.
Hawkins now holds the position of assistant superintendent for human resources, and prior to that, assistant superintendent for secondary instruction for the Hobbs Municipal Schools.

HOBBS, N.M. Hobbs Municipal Schools have decided to go back to face-to-face instruction for five days a week starting on March 29.
This includes all students and will be directly after spring break.
Students will still have the option to learn from home, but there will be no more hybrid scheduling.
You can either learn remotely via HOLA or you can go into school for five days a week for face-to-face instruction.
Parents can switch their students method of learning until March 12 through Skyward.

HOBBS, N.M. The Hobbs Municipals Schools will not hold in-person learning following Christmas Break for two weeks.
The decision was made with guidance from the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED).
The PED announced that schools with a 5:1 learning model would not be allowed back to meet until January 18. This applies to grades Pre-K to third grade.
Since January 18 is Martin Luther King Jr. day, schools will not be allowed back to be in-person earliest on Tuesday, January 19. Special Education students will come back on a later date.
The PED says they made this decision in an effort to help limit exposure during an anticipated COVID-19 surge post holiday season.
