Wednesday, the Eagles agreed to terms on one-year contracts with running back Jordan Howard and former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson.

The Eagles now have some veteran insurance at running back and linebacker heading into the draft, giving them flexibility with their 11 picks during the selection process.
While Wilson’s arrival is notable, the Eagles should still consider the linebacker spot as an area of weakness. The same could be said about running back, even with Howard’s return.

Round 1, pick 12: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama: @ options here, you had Smith or Jaycee Horn on the board, and while I think Horn is a top 5 player in the draft, Smith is just so good at the WR position that it s not even funny. Smith may have a small frame, but Justin Jefferson was skinny too.
Round 2, pick 37: Jevon Holland, S, Oregon: Was not a big fan of most of the prospects on the board st this pick, and I took Bolton in my last mock. Holland is the pick here. He is versatile, and can do just about anything you ask out of a safety. The ability to cover TEs will be extremely valuable.

Boston Scott officially signs ERFA tender
The Eagles got some more paperwork out of the way.
Boston Scott is now
officially under contract for the 2021 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles running back signed his exclusive-rights free agent tender on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles originally tendered Scott earlier this month. This left him with two options:
1) Sign the one-year tender worth $850,000.
or
2) Stop playing in the NFL.
Pretty obvious choice for the 25-year-old, who is currently the oldest running back under contract for 2021. The only other players at Ward’s position include Miles Sanders, Jason Huntley, Adrian Killins, and Elijah Holyfield. Philly will likely add to that position through the NFL Draft and/or undrafted rookie free agency.
