FLINT, Mich. – Michigan plans to charge former Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to be among a group of people facing charges in connection with the Flint water crisis.
Charges are expected to be announced Thursday morning in a press conference held by Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy.
On Wednesday it was announced Snyder is facing charges of willful neglect of duty in connection with the Flint water crisis. The Michigan Legislature defines willful neglect of duty as follows:

Former Michigan governor Rick Snyder was arraigned on misdemeanor charges Thursday in connection with the Flint water crisis.
Snyder is charged with two counts of willful neglect of duty. He was arraigned on those charges Thursday morning. He pleaded not guilty to both charges. He received a $10,000 personal bond for both counts. He is not allowed to leave the state of Michigan.
His next court hearing is Jan. 19.

LAKE ORION, Mich. – Michigan has
loosened COVID-19 restrictions for several indoor venues, including casinos, bowling alleys and movie theaters, but indoor dining at restaurants is still not allowed.
In fact, the updated order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services didn’t change the restrictions on restaurants at all.
Despite being only able to remain open for carryout under the current orders, one Lake Orion restaurant is is defying the order by resuming its indoor dining services.
