OSU EXTENSION KICKS OFF PROGRAM: The Ohio Department of Agriculture and OSU Extension Offices are kicking off the second year of the Victory Gardens program. Due to high demand, the program is expanding from 10 to 25 counties across the state, with 8,300 seed packets available free to the public. Ohio Victory Gardens are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, from urban apartment dwellers to those living in the country, and everyone in between.
Seeds are available for pick up at the OSU Extension Trumbull County office, 520 W. Main St, Cortland, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Seeds also can be picked up during a drive-thru event 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Call 330-638-6783 for information.
