Josh Green, MD is a local doctor who has spent his life caring for Hawaii families. After finishing medical school, Dr. Green traveled to South Africa where he worked in missionary hospitals as a volunteer physician, treating a rural population overwhelmed by AIDS and malaria. In 2009, Green was named Hawaii Physician of the year and in 2008 he was elected to the Hawaii State Senate where he served as Majority Floor leader.

English, who represents Hana, East and Upcountry Maui, Molokai and Lanai, said he initially thought he was suffering from depression.
