New Delhi [India], April 6 (ANI): Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar on Tuesday thanked her fans for their love and wishes after she recently tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actor also urged everyone to follow the COVID-19 safety protocols.
The Bala actor took to her Instagram handle and posted a story that read, Hello all. Am so overwhelmed by all the love that s being poured in.. thank you for keeping me in your prayers. Sorry I haven t had a chance to reply back to your messages, calls or dms. I ve spent yesterday sleeping and recovering.
Bhumi is the latest Bollywood celebrity to have tested positive for COVID-19 after Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Narayan, Rupali Ganguly, Kartik Aaryan and Aamir Khan among others.
Maharashtra on Sunday reported the highest single-day rise of 57,074 coronavirus positive cases while 222 patients succumbed to the infection, the state health department said.
Notably, Maharashtra had recorded its highest rise in the number of cases in a day after September 17, 2020, when it had added 24,619 infections, only the day earlier on April 3 with the addition of 49,447 cases.
The state government announced a weekend lockdown and night curfew during the weekdays from Monday to April 30, in addition to a slew of other restrictions like closure of private offices, theatres and salons to curb the unprecedented surge in COVID-19 cases.

April 05 : After Akshay Kumar and Govinda tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar have contacted the virus and tested positive as well. The actors took to their respective Instagram pages today and shared a note updating their fans about their health status, and both informed that they are home quarantined and are in isolation.

The Bala actor took to her Instagram handle and shared a post informing fans about the news.
Bhumi wrote, I HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately.
