The lady whose name has not been revealed to the press testified before Honourable Justice S.H. Aprioku of Port-Harcourt High Court.
The defendant in the case, Anthony Kalu, faces prosecution for rape, kidnapping and armed robbery and the case is between the Rivers State government and the defendant.

In the case prosecuted by the State, the four defendants face three counts of kidnapping, armed robbery and child stealing. They are Promise Thompson, Queen Lucky, Lucky Wokoma and Beatrice Ogunka.
The crime of kidnapping is contrary to Section 1(2)(b) of the Rivers State Kidnap (Prohibition) Amendment Law, No. 5 of 2018 and was allegedly committed by the first defendant Promise Thompson when he allegedly armed himself with a gun and other dangerous weapons and kidnapped with the help of others now at large a six-year-old boy on Trans Kalabari Road, Iwofe on October 25, 2018 and demanded ransom.

The defence counsel, P.A. Anele, for the second and third defendants cross-examined the first prosecution witness over the case in court.
There were three defendants standing trial in the case, two of whom were male and one female, while others are at large.
While going through the case, the presiding judge of Port-Harcourt High Court, Honourable Justice S.H. Aprioku, said that the charge against the second and third defendants was child stealing while the offence of the first defendant was that he had shot the father of the child and kidnapped the child. The child was six-year-old.
