Woman accused of killing girl child arrested in Kohat Peshawar April 8, 2021 KOHAT: The police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a woman involved in the murder of a four-year-old girl in Khattak Colony a few days back. Speaking at a press conference, District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said that Hareem Fatima, daughter of Naveed Iqbal and resident of Khattak Colony, had gone missing on March 24 last. Soon after the incident, he said a team of expert police officials along with other departments, including Town Municipal Administration and civil intelligence officials, was constituted and launched a search operation for the recovery of the missing child.

Led by former MNA Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz, district general secretary of the Khattak Ittehad Noor Muhammad Khattak, the rally participants gathered at Saddam Chowk. Speaking on the occasion, the leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation by police. The speakers said the police had made no progress in the case despite several claims.

IGP meets families of four slain youths

IGP meets families of four slain youths Peshawar April 2, 2021 BANNU: Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abbasi on Thursday visited Bannu and met the family members of the four slain youth and a girl child who was murdered after being kidnapped. The IGP first presided over a meeting at the office of Bannu commissioner. DIG, Commander 116 Brigade, deputy commissioner and Bannu district police officer attended the meeting. The IGP was given a detailed presentation on the Janikhel incident where bodies of four teenagers were found days after they had gone missing. The murder had sparked protests as the relatives of the deceased had refused to bury the dead. The issue was resolved later as a result of an agreement. Later, the IGP met the family members of the slain youths and local elders in the Bannu Jirga Hall.
