NEW DELHI, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) Authorities in the northern Indian state of Haryana Thursday ordered government and privately-run schools to physically reopen for students of higher classes from next week.
The government directive, however, has made medical certificates not older than 72 hours mandatory for the students to attend classes. It has been decided that students of classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to attend their government or private schools from December 14 for three hours daily - between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (local time), reads the circular issued by the directorate of school education.
Classwork for ninth and eleventh standard will resume from Dec. 21, the order further said.
