New Delhi [India], January 2 (ANI): Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday condemned the killing of goldsmith in Jammu and Kashmir and said that the common people are not going to be deterred by such acts. It is unfortunate, he lived in Jammu and Kashmir for years and had no connection with any political party or organisation. Common people are not going to be deterred by such acts, Singh told ANI on being asked about the killing of a goldsmith in Srinagar who got his domicile certificate recently.

Srinagar, Dec 31 : A goldsmith was shot dead by some unidentified assailants here on Thursday.
Police sources said that Satpal, the goldsmith working at a jewellery shop in Hari Singh High Street market was shot at by some unidentified gunmen on Thursday evening. The goldsmith died on the spot. Entire area has been surrounded for searches to trace the assailants , sources said.
The killing has sent shockwaves to the entire business community in the area who shut their shops following the incident.

Srinagar: Twin terror attacks have rocked New Year’s Eve in Jammu and Kashmir.
In the first incident, a Central reserve Police Force personnel sustained splinter injury when an unidentified terrorist lobbed a grenade at a CPRF naka in Bijbehara, Anantnag. The attack took place at 6:20 pm on Thursday, the CRPF said.
Separately, a shopkeeper was shot dead by terrorists at Hari Singh High Street in Srinagar.
More details on the twin incidents are awaited.
