Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer on Tuesday said efforts were afoot to make the federal capital the safest city as a foremost priority.
SP Saddar zone Captain (retired) Hamzah Humayun constituted special teams under supervision of DSP Sajjad Bukari, including Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Asim Ghaffar and others, a spokesperson maintained.
This team arrested a wanted member of a bike lifting gang identified as Asad Ali and recovered two stolen motorcycles from his possession.
Police Service Center inaugurated in sector G-14

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Monday inaugurated the police service center at sector G-14 equipped with modern technology.|
The inaugural ceremony was attended among others by DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar, SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, Addition SP Islamabad Farhat Abbass Kazmi, SP (Saddar) Hamza Humayun and other police officials as well as notables of the area.
Around 1,18,000 citizens have been provided various services through Islamabad Police Service Center in sector F-6 so far while more than 2000 citizens have benefitted by Mobile Facilitation Centre.

Islamabad : The police have been busy implementing the people-friendly policies sought by the Inspector-General (Islamabad) Police Qazi Jamilur Rehman.
SP (Sadar Zone) Hamza Humayun along with DSP (Ramana Circle) Khalid Mahmood Awan visited the F-8 Church here and met with the bishop of the church. They delivered a message of IG Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman and DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar to the bishop and congratulated the Christian community on the occasion of Easter.
The visiting officers assured the Christian community of their full support in ensuring the safety of life and property. ISLAMABAD, April 2, 2021: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman has appreciated the professional and gallant response of the police team who rescued two children through successful operation against the person who made them hostage at gun point in Bhara Kahu area.
According to details, Bhara Kahu police got information on March 28, 2021 that one armed person has made hostage two children at gun point after entering in their house in `Mohallah Chaudhrian’ at Dhok Jilani. He threatened to kill both children in case anyone tried to approach them. Soon after the reported incident, the SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer rushed to the scene along with his team including SP (Saddar) Hamza Humayun, ASP Asad Ali, DSP CIA Hakim Khan, SHO Bhara Kahu police station and others.
