Man injured in mid-day shooting in Allison Hill: police

Harrisburg police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured late Tuesday morning.
Police said officers were called to the 1200 block of Kittatinny Street around 11:15 a.m., for reports of shots fired with a person hit.
The man was found with a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a local hospital for “advanced medical care,” police said.
A children’s park and convenience store were busy on Tuesday afternoon, with no police presence left in the area. A block over on Hummel Street, residents were using the Harrisburg First Church of the Bretheren to vote in Pennslyvania’s primary election.
Harrisburg man convicted of 3 rapes, DA says

28-year-old Sage Ifill was convicted following a 3-day trial on two separate cases dating back to 2016.

In the first case, Ifill is convicted of raping a woman during a late-night gathering at a home on Hummel Street in Harrisburg on Oct. 16, 2016, the district attorney’s office said. The woman was unconscious from alcohol consumption when Ifill sexually assaulted her.
The woman reported the assault to the hospital, but didn’t report it to the police right away because she was embarrassed, the DA’s office said. She ended up reporting it in December 2017, after she learned Ifill had been arrested for raping two women a year after her assault.
