EDWARDSVILLE A woman claims she suffered injuries after a Madison County Highway employee failed to yield the right way at an intersection and collided with her vehicle.
Janice Crosnoe filed a complaint May 3 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Jace Scheibal and Madison County Highway, alleging negligence.
According to her complaint, Crosnoe was driving northbound towards Humbert Road and Union School Road in Alton on May 27, 2020. She alleges that Scheibal, who was operating a Madison Count Highway vehicle, collided with her car and caused her to suffer external and internal injuries.
Crosnoe claims that Scheibal failed to stop or yield the right of way at the intersection and was driving at a speed that was greater than reasonable and proper. She also claims Scheibal was negligent for failing to stop or swerve his vehicle at the appearance of danger to avoid the crash.
