Patna, March 17 : Bihar s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday gave fresh proofs against Land Reforms and Revenue Minister Ram Surat Rai, who is alleged to be involved in a liquor smuggling case.
Tejashwi, while referring to the case diary of November 8, 2020, said that the police has mentioned that the school where the incident came to light belonged to Ram Surat Rai s brother Hansraj Rai.
Moreover, one of the pickup vans having registration number (BR 06 C 1996), used for unloading liquor from trucks is registered in Hansraj Rai s name.

Patna, March 13 : Facing the charges of liquor smuggling, Bihar Cabinet minister Ram Surat Rai defended himself and said that the school where liquor was recovered on November 8, 2020, was not his property. That school property belongs to my brother Hansraj Rai who has given it on rent to Amrendra Kumar Kushwaha to run a school. If my brother is involved in liquor smuggling or trade then where is how am I guilty for it, Rai said while interacting with media in Patna on Saturday.
BJP targets Lalu over ‘insult’ to Yadav leaders

Patna, March 12 : The Bharatiya Janata Party has said that former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and his family do not want any Yadav leader to emerge and evolve in the state.
“Lalu Prasad’s family does not want any Yadav leader in opposition parties to emerge in Bihar. Hence, whenever Yadav leaders want to establish their identity, Lalu Prasad and his family jumped on them in a bid to assassinate their character. Tejashwi is doing the same. He should apologize publicly,” spokesperson of Bihar BJP unit Nikhil Anand said.
