We all spend at least a few minutes a day scrolling through social media and sometimes, something will catch our eye that we have to investigate. That s exactly what happened to me when I took a deep dive into the Dutchess County Yard Sale Facebook page the other day.

It seems that in the world today not many places are hiring so when we come across a place that s hiring, we do what we can to spread the news. According to the Kingston Police Departments Facebook page they are getting ready to hire a few new officers.
The post states that if you or someone you know is interested in serving the community and becoming a police officer they are now accepting applications for, police officer and a Spanish speaking police officer.
Village of Wappingers Court Closed
Another day, another closing.
As we all continue to try and navigate our way through these trying times, cancelations and closures have become something that most of us have are trying to get used to and if you have a schedule court date for today at the Village of Wappingers court, it is now canceled according to the Village Facebook page.
The Facebook post stated, DUE TO A COVID-19 EXPOSURE VILLAGE COURT WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The Village didn t comment on how long the courthouse will be closed, but the post did say that, if you are scheduled for Court you will be notified by mail with a new date. Sorry for any inconvenience. With any COVID-19 exposure, it might be a while until they can reopen, but as soon as they announce when that will happen, we will update this article.

Those helicopters that bring the rich and famous back and forth from New York City have now been sold.
If you live anywhere near the Dutchess Airport, you ve probably seen helicopters taking off and landing as they whisk commuters back and forth from New York City. Drives that would take hours each day by car are reduced to minutes as the helicopters speed in a direct route to their destination, flying high above the traffic.
The company that s been responsible for operating these elite flying machines has been operating out of Wappingers Falls since 1989. Associated Aircraft Group (AAG) was owned by Lockheed Martin who manufactures the company s fleet of Sikorsky helicopters.
