Hudson s Hope RCMP respond to 41 calls for service | Energeticcity ca - Local news from Northeast B C

RCMP is reminding residents of the multiple construction zones along Highway 29 toward FSJ. There is a large fluctuation between speed zones for each site. These zones will be monitored and fines range from $196 to $253. On April 19th, police stopped a driver for travelling 41 kilometres an hour over the posted speed limit in a school zone. The driver received a $368 fine along with the complimentary package that comes along with it. On April 25th, RCMP conducted a routine traffic check-stop along Highway 29. Drivers were checked for sobriety, valid driver’s licenses, and vehicle registration. During this check, around 50 plus vehicles were stopped and several drivers were later fined for driving intoxicated and or having open alcohol in the vehicle. Two prohibited drivers were also charged accordingly.

Project Holding Onto Hope sells 52 bags of cat food | Energeticcity ca - Local news from Northeast B C

Bags of cat food for Hudson’s Hope Food Bank. (Patricia Budgell) “The bags may be kept by the purchaser or donated to the Friends of Hudson’s Hope Food Bank,” says Budgell. “Once the Hudson’s Hope Food Bank’s shelves are full, the remaining food can be donated to kickstart the Pet Pantry Program.” More information about the Pet Pantry program is coming soon, but it will give families in the North Peace Region a little help keeping pets healthy at home. So far, the 52 bags sold amounts to $260 for the Hudson’s Hope animals. “If there are any businesses or individuals that would like to donate or participate in selling the bags, please email us or visit our Facebook page.”
