Hudson County Vaccine Distribution Center to be open Thursday ×

The Hudson County Vaccine Distribution Center in Kearny will be open for an additional day this week due to the increased supply of vaccines.
More than 4,000 vaccines will be administered at the county-run site through the end of this week which will also vaccinate residents on Thursday, April 8.
All eligible residents are encouraged to visit hudsoncovidvax.org to begin the registration process to get a vaccine appointment at the drive-through facility at 110 Hackensack avenue.
This week, Hudson County received its largest allocations of vaccines to date with more than 20,000 doses being directed to the county and its municipal partners by state and federal officials.

City council approves contract with Mobile Health for new vaccine site

The Bayonne City Council held a special meeting on March 15.
The Bayonne City Council has approved a resolution authorizing an agreement with Mobile Health Services to provide COVID-19 vaccinations and related services at the Bayonne Community Museum at 229 Broadway.
Last week, Mayor James Davis announced a second vaccination site was opening that will allow twice the number of vaccinations. The city is currently operating a vaccination site out of Bayonne Medical Center (BMC), but the site can vaccinate only approximately a few hundred residents a day.

Residents can get the COVID-19 vaccine at multiple sites.
The city is opening a second COVID-19 vaccine site, this one at the Bayonne Community Museum beginning next week, according to Mayor James Davis.
“We want to do better,” Davis said. “This is why I have been working to set up a second vaccine point of distribution [POD] in Bayonne.”
Davis said the city will now be able to schedule twice as many vaccinations each week, as long as the dosage allotment remains consistent.
