Hudson County will open its vaccination center in Kearny on Saturday, May 15, to administer the Pfizer vaccine to anyone 12 or older who lives, works, or studies in Hudson County.
The decision to add an additional vaccination day this week comes after federal guidelines were updated to allow children as young as 12 to receive the vaccine. Saturday allows the children to get vaccinated without missing school.
The site at 110 Hackensack Ave. in Kearny currently has 150 appointments open between 9:30 and 11 a.m. on Saturday and an additional 1,200 Pfizer doses available on Monday, May 17.
