KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Kansas City, Missouri has secured more than eight million dollars for homeless issues.
Mayor Quinton Lucas and U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver announced on Saturday that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allocated $8.3 million to KC to address issues related to homelessness.
More than $4 million in grant money is heading to The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to help increase housing equity in Nashville. The funds will be used to serve nearly 2,000 families with children under 13.

Hutt City Council is undergoing a restructure, which has resulted in 56 roles being dis-established and 11 redundancies.
Some of those roles were already vacant, meaning 37 staff are directly affected.
But the new structure includes 71 reconfigured roles, of which 15 are brand new ones.
Council chief executive Jo Miller said there needed to be the appropriate resource to match the council s priorities.
