Archaeology work started last week on land to become North Kesteven District Council’s Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park.
These investigations are a vital step before any main strategic infrastructure and construction works can begin, which are planned later in the year and will include the laying of a spine road, some ground features and the construction of a first phase of commercial industrial units.

North Kesteven District Council purchased 37 acres of land at Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park in a move to stop a stalemate between private developers.
The council would not disclose the value of the transaction, but said its motivation for purchasing the land alongside the A17 is to benefit the wider district economy.
It is part of a new strategy which will see North Kesteven District Council take direct action where it feels a project can deliver new opportunities, unlock potential and derive an income to support operations at the council.

A brand new year is on the horizon and with it brings a fresh start and hopes of a much more enjoyable 12 months ahead.
Before we fully consign 2020 to the history books however, we’ve an opportunity now to reflect. And if this year was to be condensed into a story, for me it would be a tribute to how we’ve all responded to its challenges.
Our NHS colleagues and those in all our emergency services have shown huge dedication in the darkest of times and continue to do so.

A driver on Nettleham Road in Lincoln suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, causing the road to be closed temporarily.
The road was closed between Wolsey Way junction and the A46 bypass roundabout at around 8.30am on Thursday morning.
Ambulances arrived to see to the man who had suffered a “medical episode”, while police helped with the temporary road closure.
The road has since been opened and the man has been taken to hospital, though it is unsure what his medical episode was.
