450 more hospital beds to be added up in Karnataka s Kolara ANI | Updated: May 04, 2021 22:53 IST
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], May 4 (ANI): To better the COVID management in the government hospitals in Karnataka s Kolara district, 300 more oxygenated beds, and 150 ICU beds will be added up, State Corona Task Force Head and Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwatha Narayana, informed on Tuesday.
Speaking after reviewing the COVID care situation in the district through a virtual platform, with the representatives of the district and District Commissioner, he said, steps would be taken to provide the required infrastructure for the district hospital (SNR Hospital) and other government hospitals of the district.

Dakshina Kannada Kambala Committee, said that the academy would issue a release inviting entries from women contenders once the current season concludes. The eligible women candidates will undergo a health check-up and then get selected for the training. This time, those who get selected will be trained by women coaches only. The training is likely to start in September and the women jockeys may be ready to take over the game from the next season.

KOLAR/CHIKBALLAPUR: A non-clinical staff member of the district hospital was the first person in Kolar to be vaccinated with Covishield, said District Surgeon and Senior Nodal Officer Dr SG Narayanaswamy.

Apple Inc.’s supplier in India quadrupled workers in about eight months, ramping up production just as the world’s most valuable company began direct online sales in the South Asia nation. The only hitch: Wistron Corp.’s systems weren’t robust enough to handle the deluge.
The number of workers at the Taiwanese company, the first Apple supplier to produce iPhones in India, surged to about 9,000 in November from some 2,000 just before the pandemic, according to people with knowledge of the matter. Wistron hired the contractual workers from six manpower companies, the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter was private. A representative for Wistron declined to comment.
