Victim and accused in Clinton County homicide were friends, state police say

That was among the information made public Monday about the incident in the 300 block of Brewery Hill Road in Woodward Twp., across the Susquehanna River from Lock Haven.
The shooting occurred during what state police say was a gathering at the home of the accused, Brian St. John III, 19.
He is charged with killing Jakob Lee Haines, 21, of Beech Creek, with a revolver he took from a kitchen drawer. The motive has not been disclosed.
An autopsy determined Haines died from a single close range gunshot wound to the chest, Coroner Zach Hanna said.
