西班牙的700MHz频段拍卖被分为两种区块 2x10MHz和3x5MHz，共12轮竞标，在本月早些时候Masmovil选择退出后，西班牙三大电信运营商参与了竞标。
拍卖结束后，沃达丰西班牙公司表示，该公司在2x10MHz区块上花费了3.5亿欧元，这些费用将一次性进行支付，此外该公司每年还将支付1550万欧元的牌照许可费。沃达丰表示将使用这些新频谱来扩大和改善网络覆盖，包括室内覆盖。
