HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) A 58-year-old Grand Rapids woman went by ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, after a 94-year-old Grand Rapids man drove his Buick into the path of her car, according to police.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christie Wendt indicated the 94-year-old man was ticketed after attempting a left turn from Lake Michigan Drive onto First Street. The Grand Rapids woman, driving east on Lake Michigan Drive in a Ford Taurus, hit the Buick.
Both drivers were using seatbelts, according to police, and the 94-year-old man escaped physical injury in the crash.

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI A 29-year-old Conklin man was seriously injured when a pickup went off a road near Marne and rolled, police say.
The Conklin man was driving a Ford Ranger northwest on 16th Avenue, just north of Comstock Street in Wright Township, when he failed to handle a curve in the road. The pickup then rolled.
The crash happened about 4:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18.
He was taken by ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
