The traveling Italian water circus Cirque Italia will have shows through Sunday in Springfield’s White Oaks Mall parking lot.
The circus’s 2021 story follows ringmaster Clown Rafinha as he goes fishing and reels in a bottle containing a treasure map. His ensuing quest in search of pirate’s booty leads the audience through storms on the high seas, dreams of angels, and pirate fights featuring a crossbow act, swashbucklers, jugglers, Wheel of Death performers and other acts, including a run-in with a mermaid.
Cirque Italia follows a strict animal-free policy.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. today and Friday and 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
