(WWBT) - The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has released the 911 call and bodycam footage of the deputy-involved shooting that happened on April 21. Spotsylvania deputies were called around 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 28 to the area of the 9200 block of Courthouse Road after a wanted man was believed to be in the area. Deputies spotted Daniel Ray Conley, 43, of Stafford, driving west on Courthouse Road near the Spotsylvania Courthouse when they tried to pull Conley over, but he refused.

(WWBT) - Spotsylvania County Public Schools has announced changes to its instructional plan for the new semester that starts on Monday. Starting on Jan. 4 and continuing through Jan. 15, school officials said the instruction will be done in a distance/virtual learning mode. “We will follow our current Monday-Friday schedule for synchronous and asynchronous learning. SCPS will continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic on our school system,” a letter to parents said.
