Duluth Elks Lodge #133 delivered dictionaries to all third graders at the Hermantown Elementary School, and to Stella Maris Academy. This has been an annual event for the Duluth Elks Lodge for several years. The dictionaries belong to the students for their own personal use. Also, the Elks in December were awarded a combined Beacon/Spotlight Grant from the Elks Community Investments Program. They received $5,500 and distributed the money to 5 local area elementary schools. $1,100 was awarded to each of the following schools:

Rochester Elks Lodge #1393 makes two donations totaling $5,500

Fosters Daily Democrat ROCHESTER On Saturday, Jan. 9, representatives from the Rochester, NH Elks No. 1393 presented donations made possible by the Elks National Foundation Beacon/Spotlight Grant Programs. There were two separate donations totaling $5,500 dollars. Rochester Elks officers Bonnie Skidds, Exalted Ruler; Norm Gervais, PER, Lodge Secretary/ENF Chair and Don Chesnel, PER, Inner Guard traveled to the N.H. Veterans Home in Tilton, NH for the first presentation. The NHVH was established in 1890 and has a capacity of 250 residents. It has recently been hit hard with COVID-19 cases. A check in the amount of $2,500 was presented by the Rochester contingent to Margaret D. Labrecque, Commandant of the Veterans Home. During the pandemic, residents have been confined to their rooms to control the spread of COVID-19. The money will be used to provide new bedside tables so they can more easily eat their daily meals, which would normally be served in their dining areas. Other item
