Maldives reported its highest daily rise in coronavirus infections in weeks, on Saturday, including 41 from resorts.
87 new cases were reported on Saturday; in addition to the 41 cases from resorts, 30 of the cases were confirmed from the greater Male’ region, 13 from residential islands and three from live-aboard vessels.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that 32 of the cases confirmed from resorts on Saturday are from Olhuveli Beach and Spa Maldives, adding that all are staff members at the resort.
With the cases announced on Saturday, Maldives Covid-19 tally has risen to 14,462.
