A sense of place is fundamental to the artist community at Anderson Ranch Arts Center.
“We are so much about place, we are so much about this space and inviting people in,” said Artistic Director of Painting, Drawing and Printmaking Liz Ferrill, who also oversees the artists-in-program at the campus. “We have been kind of clinging to that from the very beginning.”
So in the months after the pandemic hit last March, the wheels were already turning among ranch staff to figure out how to maintain that energy within the parameters of COVID-19 restrictions and public health guidelines.

Snowmass Tourism, The Collective and the Aspen Skiing Co. welcome all to Snowmass ÂVillage this holiday season with a lineup of safe and fun activities for the whole family. But we all need to do our part this winter, be aware of socially distancing and wear a mask, please.
âWe have put in a lot of work to do events on a small scale, but safely,â said The Collective and Plaza Manager Sarah Sanders.
âWe have started all of our winter programming this week. Everything is limited to 20 people or less, and masks are required.â

“It is beautiful and it’s beguiling. It is attractive,” says Anthony Rowe, an artist with the creative collective Squidsoup. “And we hope it makes you forget about this COVID crap that’s going on at the moment if for a moment.”
