Fifteen years ago, Samantha Leonard was so enamoured with her new job as a dental assistant that she took it upon herself to learn everything she could about the business of dentistry.
Today, she is CEO of Stream Dental HR, a Calgary-based company that has been awarded a preferred vendor contract with Henry Schein, a Fortune 500 company and the world’s largest supplier of dental products and services.

Over those years, Leonard witnessed first-hand the struggles dentists had with people management and running a business. They had been to school to learn how to be great dentists, but were not taught how to manage a team. And the onerous task of running a whole office was not the best use of their time.
