One in custody after stabbing at Colorado Springs convenience store

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One person is in custody after a stabbing at a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Stratmoor Hills area late Sunday.
El Paso County deputies went to the store on B Street Sunday night after reports that a person suffered a serious stab wound to the arm. The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery, but their condition is unknown.
Deputies closed off the area and sent a K-9 unit to look for the suspect before learning they had stayed on the scene. They were later taken into custody.
A multiagency task force recently arrested two men on suspicion of sexual exploitation of children, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Christopher Austin Sanchez, 23, and David Earl Russell, 55, were arrested in separate cases, police said. Both men could face multiple felony charges.
The Colorado Springs Internet Crimes Against Children task force, comprised of local detectives, sheriff’s deputies, and federal agents, executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Catalina Court on Thursday and found more than 20 child pornography videos, according to court records. The task force issued an arrest warrant for Sanchez, who turned himself in to authorities the following day.
The El Paso County Sheriff s Office on Wednesday released the names of the three shooting victims killed by a man who then turned the gun on himself last week at an apartment south of Colorado Springs.
Joseph Viera, 20 was killed, along with Pheonix Vigil, 19, and her 17-year-old brother, Sylvio Anglada, on Feb. 3 inside an apartment along Loomis Avenue, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities identified the shooter as 19-year-old Tristan Griffin.
Deputies found the bodies of Vigil, Anglada and Griffin when they arrived at the Stratmoor Hills apartment shortly before 5 p.m. Viera, who suffered serious wounds, was taken to the hospital, where he died a day later, the Sheriff’s Office said.
