“Our waterways have long been a great recreational asset to our town,” St. Marys Mayor Al Strathdee said in a release. “The Yak Shack is a perfect way for residents and visitors alike to have access to a kayak and to experience our Thames River and Trout Creek.”

“It was a tough month,” Richardson said, adding everyone has recovered. “I just worked feverishly on it for a whole week. They helped me pick a design and as I worked through it I just thought, ‘this is for them.’”
