Bloomingdale Mayor Franco Coladipietro will highlight business developments during his State of the Village address on July 29.
A new Woodman s grocery store will open soon on roughly 19 acres next to Stratford Square Mall. Bloomingdale has welcomed nearly two dozen new businesses since January 2020, including an Amazon Fresh grocery store.
Coladipietro also will reflect on the pandemic year during the luncheon event held by the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Bloomingdale Bank and Trust and Northwestern Medicine.
Last year, the speech was canceled because of the pandemic. This year, the event will take place at the Bloomingdale Golf Club. Guests are asked to register by July 26 at BloomingdaleChamber.com/events. Tickets are $30.
Bloomingdale s T J Maxx/HomeGoods will relocate to Stratford Crossing

TRUMBULL The Westfield Trumbull mall will become a little bit greener, both figuratively and literally, with the approval of a four-bay Level 3 electric vehicle charging station, unanimously approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission last week.
Among other things, the approval is conditional on the applicant, Electrify America, planting trees and shrubs around the chargers to enhance the aesthetics at the site.
