Neos Kosmos about his relationship with running and the personal goals he fulfills by participating in each Marathon, Stavros Michael said “What is more of a Greek sport than a Marathon. Every time I run, something new wakes up inside of me. With every course and there is a new road”.
“Together with the other marathon runners – beginners, those more experienced – we started off before sunrise in the dark, around unknown figures and on untouched paths, with our heads held high, our feet forward and with a smile; There is nothing that feels more Greek than running a Marathon,” he continued.

The safety of the region s tamariki was at the forefront of discussions around a speed limit review at a council committee meeting yesterday The Rotorua Lakes Council s strategy, policy and finance committee heard five verbal submissions on the Speed Limit Review 2021.
More than 100 written submissions were received by the committee between March 20 and April 21 this year. The lower you go, the less the risk. That s a no-brainer, Lake Rerewhakaaitu school spokeswoman Amanda Armer told the committee.

Treat Lake Tarawera the same as other sewerage reticulation schemes, and if not, explain why you can t.
That s the message from Rotorua MP Todd McClay to Rotorua Lakes Council on its proposal to charge Lake Tarawera residents an uncapped $33,000 lump sum for sewerage reticulation.
McClay wrote to Mayor Steve Chadwick calling on the council to give residents the option to pay the sum off over time. Previous schemes implemented by [the] council have been paid for by users contributing each year in addition to their rates bill, he wrote to Chadwick on April 30.

Rotorua mayor Steve Chadwick raised the issue of Waititi s comments in a Rotorua Lakes Council Operations and Monitoring Committee meeting on Thursday morning.
In an 11 April Māori Party press release titled Rotorua Council needs to clean its s t up , Waititi said he had attended a community hui in Ngāpuna where locals had spoken of physical and psychological suffering due to a sewerage fault which occurred on 29 March.
