STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Since 1994, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce and Staten Island Advance have presented the Louis R. Miller Business Leadership Awards to honor professionals who demonstrate strong leadership skills, unwavering commitment to our community and strong business sensibilities.
Despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has been disruptive for all of Staten Island’s small businesses, a new class of leaders has been selected. This year’s seven recipients have demonstrated their strong leadership abilities for decades before the pandemic, and continue to do so in the face of strong challenges.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Thomas J. Hall readily admits that he didn’t have dreams of growing up and becoming a lawyer.
“When I went to Georgetown undergrad, I started in the business school. However, during my junior year, I took a Constitutional Law course, which I loved,” recalled Hall. “I went on to attend Vermont Law School, found my passion, and never looked back.”
