STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Now, families have more opportunities to visit the Staten Island Children’s Museum in Livingston.
Beginning Friday, the museum will extend its hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Fridays; it also will keep its 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. sessions on Saturdays and Sundays.
This Saturday, the museum will host a kid-friendly, outdoor and socially distant science display from noon to 1 p.m. Staten Island’s “Glam Gardener” will speak to the children about plants, pollinators and repurposing. Visitors will take home an up-cycled planter made from materials that would otherwise go in the garbage, filled with a locally sourced milkweed seed that will grow to attract butterflies as th
