Ohtis have shared a new track called âSchatze’ â you can listen to it below.
The Illinois trio, who released their debut album ‘Curve Of Earth’ in 2019, teamed up with the Detroit artist Stef Chura for the song, which will appear on a forthcoming seven-inch vinyl titled ‘Schatze b/w Failure’ (out February 26).
Mixed by Collin Dupuis (Lana Del Rey, Angel Olsen, St. Vincent), âSchatze’ conducts a character analysis of the ‘Selfish Antisocial Male’ told primarily through the lens of his long put-upon girlfriend, who is portrayed by Chura, as per a press release.

“
You’ve been playing that same goddam video game for 27 nights and 28 days/ Grow the fuck up dude, what the fuck“, Chura sings in her verse.
âSchatzeâ (ft. Stef Chura)
âI do, do what I please/Iâm a piece of shit, I just think Iâll get away with it,â Ohtisâ Sam Swinson smoothly deadpans on âSchatze.â He sounds like heâs about to tell you that he got the job because his dad owns the place, that he never tips on delivery. Thereâs only one honest reaction: âGrow the fuck up dude, what the fuck?â demands guest vocalist Stef Chura, arriving like a Greek chorus to remind him that heâs been âcanceled on Instagram,â and he deserved it. âFuck you very much, sir,â goes her chirping refrain (to which Swinson responds with a smarmy, âAbsolutelyâ).
