A group fighting a mining project in northeastern Minnesota is coming to Fort Frances to raise awareness.

COVID-19 Response Framework/Government of Ontario
Red-Control COVID-19 restrictions are now in effect for the Northwestern Health Unit region.
This follows the province’s announcement on Friday of our move from Yellow to Red.
Two more U.K variants were confirmed in the region last week along with four straight days of double-digit case numbers.
10 of the 20 positive COVID-19 test results over the weekend were confirmed in the Sioux Lookout region, 2 in the Dryden/Red Lake region and 8 in Kenora region.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kit Young Hoon is urging everyone to take the prevention measures seriously.
“Get tested even if you have only one symptom and you and anyone you live with should stay home until the test results are known.”
